Sometimes You Get In Your Own Way

Fear doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it’s quiet — disguised as procrastination, overplanning, or endless perfectionism. On the surface, it looks like discipline. Underneath, it’s self-protection.

We stand in front of the very door we want to walk through, holding the key, inventing reasons not to turn it. Like standing on the edge of a diving board, knowing how to swim but frozen by the moment before the jump.

Getting in your own way isn’t laziness. It’s fear of change, fear of the unknown, fear of freefall. The ego craves safety. The soul craves expansion.

The truth? You can be the reason you haven’t started — and still be the one who decides to move. Forgive the delays. Begin anyway. Even if your knees shake. Especially then.
