There comes a time when holding on becomes heavier than releasing. The weight of forced connections, empty words, and surface friendships begins to drain more than it gives. That’s when you pause, breathe, and choose peace over obligation.
Loss often teaches us what truly matters. After losing my mother, I learned that if I couldn’t keep the one person who meant everything, there was no reason to cling to relationships that meant nothing. Grief became my awakening — a call to travel light.
Letting go isn’t bitterness. It’s clarity. It’s saying goodbye to what doesn’t nourish you and making space for those who do. Some people will stay in your heart. Others will stay in your history.
And that’s okay. Because peace weighs less than pretense.
