Don’t Box Up Your Emotions

We think we can hide emotions — shove them down, tape the box shut, and stack them neatly away. But emotions are not paperwork. They don’t just sit quietly. They swell, shift, and eventually spill over.
Unspoken grief lingers in the body. Denied anger leaks through as resentment. Suppressed fear hardens into silence. And when emotions finally rise, they rarely come gently — they flood, dragging everything with them.
The safer path isn’t burying but allowing. Feel it: name the emotion instead of pushing it away. Own it: accept it belongs to you without shame. Transform it: let it move through breath, words, or expression.
Emotions were never meant to be buried. They were meant to breathe. And so were you.
