I Am My Own Feelings was born out of the quiet breaking point many of us reach silently. A moment when emotional overload, burnout, or silent grief pushes us to ask: Who’s holding me, while I hold everything else? 
 

Founded by Dr. Nilantika Chakraborty, an educator, emotional wellness expert, and lifelong mindfulness practitioner, I Am My Own Feelings began as a personal revolution. After over two decades of working with children, adults, and families through the lens of neuropsychology, special education, and behavior science, she realized something vital:

emotional healing doesn’t need to be complicated.
It needs to be real, reachable, and reclaimable.

That’s how the Feel It. Own It. Transform It. method was born—a structured emotional wellness system that fuses therapeutic science with soul-centered practices. It teaches people to reconnect with themselves, not through perfection, but through presence.
 

This platform is more than a coaching model. It’s a movement. A safe space where:

To create a global movement of emotional self-mastery through the Feel It. Own It. Transform It. method—empowering individuals to recognize, process, and transform their emotions with clarity, compassion, and conscious action.

Our approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, visualization, and emotional intelligence tools. These practices are simplified and structured into step-by-step methods that anyone can apply—no jargon, no judgment.

We teach people how to feel their emotions fully, own their inner experiences, and transform their emotional patterns—so they no longer react from unresolved pain but respond from grounded personal power. Through our workshops, courses, and self-guided tools, we help individuals become their own emotional anchor—resilient, self-aware, and self-led.

Why I Created IAMOF

After years of helping others and holding space for emotional distress in students, families, and institutions, I realized something deeper:

We’re all taught how to succeed. But almost no one is taught how to feel—safely, fully, and powerfully.

That realization led me to develop the Feel It. Own It. Transform It. method—a simple, accessible, and transformational system that empowers people to process their emotions in real time using self-guided tools rooted in both science and lived experience.

Today, through my platform I Am My Own Feelings, I offer workshops, courses, and coaching programs designed to help people self-regulate, rebuild resilience, and become their own emotional anchor—no matter what life throws their way.

I am Dr. Nilantika Chakraborty, an emotional wellness educator, researcher, and coach dedicated to helping people reclaim their emotional strength with clarity, compassion, and evidence-based tools.

With over two decades of experience across India and the United States, my work bridges the worlds of academia, behavioral science, and holistic healing. My mission is simple yet powerful: to help people understand and transform their emotional world—using practical tools that blend science with soul.

  • Ph.D. in Linguistics (Neurolinguistics), University of Calcutta
    My doctoral research focused on how neurological conditions affect speech and language processing. 

  • UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
    I was awarded this prestigious research grant by the Government of India for academic excellence in linguistics.

  • Master of Education (Reading Specialization), California State University, Fullerton
    This degree deepened my understanding of how language, cognition, and literacy shape identity and learning.

  • Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Disabilities), California
    With this credential, I’ve supported countless students—especially those with autism and learning differences—through individualized interventions rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
